Test Video with Music...
Yay! It worked!!
It took forever to try to match up the photo movement with the music... Whew.
Here is a photo of Professor on the day we adopted him in October of 2007:
And this is a video of pictures I've taken in the last several months! He's a gorgeous and sweet boy!
Thank you goes to Mandarin Animal Control for finding him and keeping him safe until we found him! If you are thinking of getting a furrie friend, please adopt a homeless animal... they really need you!

Conversations with my husband...
I wasn't sure if this was a photo to post here or in my personal blog, but I figure if you love animals and you are visiting my pet photography blog... then you'll enjoy this too.
Me: Hi...
My husband (working a 24 hour shift): Hi... what's going on?
Me: Well... I... uhhh... I have a guest in our bathroom.
My husband: A what?
Me: It's a... well... I have a seagull in the bathroom.
My husband: How did you catch a SEAGULL?
Me: It was hurt and hanging out by the ducks when I got home from work so I brought him inside...
Yeah, that's typical me. I couldn't just leave him out there! A cat or a dog or something would have killed him... and he couldn't fly. His wing was hanging down.
I took a photo of him in the bathroom and it's an okay photo... I just didn't want to bug him too much. He spent the night there with a bowl of water and a bunch of bread and a big old sheet to sleep on. I finally discovered that BEAKS is back in business after millions of calls... and I took him to a drop off location the next morning (a vet down the street from the park where I work) but he was put to sleep when they discovered that the broken wing was something they couldn't fix. *sigh*
It really broke my heart... I had tried to save a raccoon awhile back and the same thing happened... but I suppose it is better to try to help than to leave them to the elements and suffering.
So I didn't post this at first because it was a sore spot... but I feel better about it now and I wanted to show you my laughing gull... even if he was only mine for a night:
Yes he pooped all over the room but it is a small bathroom and wasn't THAT bad to clean up.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Yorkie Hair-do!
Apple finally got that haircut... or is it a furcut?
Here is the before I took this morning... pardon the flash but it was still dark in the house:
And here is after:
Another before from the side:
And after:
And just a couple I took for fun and to share with you!
Apple is always so much fun after a furcut... it's like she's ten pounds lighter and she can fly! She's always a bouncy, playful dog but with all that fur gone... she's crazy! : )

Rain, Rain Go Away
It's really hard to walk the dogs in the rain...
I tried to wait for the heavy bands of it to pass over and then I finally was able to get them out in just a bit of sprinkle. Unfortunately, Apple likes to take her time so it started coming down a bit harder while we wandered and waited for her to go potty. Stupid Fay...
This is the view from my porch:
And here are the pooches after their walk. I tried to dry them off with a towel... next time I might have to get out the blow dryer. If we still have power.
LOL... Apple seriously needs a haircut!

Something other than Professor
Since he's been getting so much of my blog attention lately, I thought I'd post something else!
This is my sister and her husband, who probably didn't realize he was in the frame... which I'm actually okay with because he likes to goofy grin in photos. Hee hee... I love my brother-in-law!
And that's Uni on Joni's lap!
ps. Joni's my fabulous webpage designer... she's been working on my website for me when she's not overwhelmed with work she has to bring home with her. It's up now but it's not finished... I have to write things still... so I'll let you guys know when it's ready to be seen!

Run Professor... Run!
I'm so excited that I finally managed to get some running photos!!
Granted, Professor really lopes more than RUNS... but still! Yay!!
Look how cute he is!
And more from this afternoon:
Bichon butt!
There was a fly buzzing about and Professor was whipping his head around and snapping at it!
This is the "I see a pug" pose... Professor loves other dogs! He always stands up much straighter when he meets one.
Minor details...
The nose
and the collar
Soon I'll have to attempt to take Apple out and get shots of her... Professor has been having all the fun... but he's the one who is good without the leash!

Before and After
I'm testing out a suggestion found on the Cowbelly Blog. I've recently been doing something similar using curves in photoshop but this is neat too!
Professor before (straight outta the camera):
And Professor after Jamie's quick fix:
Playing with curves:
EDIT:
Here it is with all three next to each other... same order as above, just left to right.

Welcome to Furrie Fotographie
Hi!
Welcome to my furrie blog!
I'm still working on getting everything up and running... meaning my business, my website, and my blog! Hopefully soon it will all come together.
I can't wait to meet you and your fabulous furrie friends! : )
In the meantime, I think I'll post some photos that I think are fun. I really enjoy taking wildlife photos... so maybe I'll show off some of that while we wait.
This photo was taken at my first apartment in Jacksonville. I liked feeding the ducks... and apparently they knew where I lived. One day, after feeding them, I went home and a little while later opened my front door to go run an errand... and this is what I saw.
LOL! They were waiting for me...
Isn't that something?!?!
